Record Search Request eForm

Important Information Before You Begin

Juvenile Court Files

All Juvenile Court records are confidential. Only the minor, his or her parents or legal guardian(s), and attorneys of record may obtain copies of court minutes and select court documents. To access these records, you must appear in person at the Courthouse and present photo identification. Juvenile court records cannot be requested via this form.

Sealed Records

While most court proceedings are public records, the Court has the authority to seal specific records. When a record is sealed, it is restricted from public view unless a court order is obtained. Sealed records cannot be requested via this form.

Destroyed Files/File Purging

Pursuant to Government Code Section 68152, Plumas Superior Court routinely purge court records. If a record has been purged, the Court will not be able to provide copies.

Record Searches are typically completed in 5 to 7 business days (excluding Court Holidays, court closure days, and inclement weather restricting access to physical records) from the date the court receives your request.

Record search requests must be submitted in writing, in person or electronically via this form. A single request can contain multiple names and/or case numbers.
